No Intolerance in Country:
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Criticising the attempts by vested interests to bring disgrace to the country in the name of intolerance, Art of Living exponent Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar said here on Monday that no intolerance existed in the  country.

At the satsang organised under the aegis of the Kerala chapter of the Art of Living as part of the World Culture Festival being organised in New Delhi from March 11 to 13, marking the 35th anniversary of Art of Living,  he said the controversy over intolerance was an unnecessary development to drag the country to shame.

“There is no intolerance. It was in the name of non-existent intolerance that several people returned the honours.

“In fact that was why I decided to accept the civilian  honour the country offered to me for the second time,” he said.  Emphasising the importance of spirituality in one’s life, he said it would help one to  attain the ultimate goal of uniting with the universal spirit.

Taking a dig at the Communists’ alleged mentality against spirituality, he asked whether the Communists did not want love, peace and happiness which was the byproduct of spirituality.

He also said that it was important to make a remark about Communists’ intolerance towards spirituality in Kerala and West Bengal.

A huge crowd of Art of Living followers and disciples of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar came to  Nishagandhi auditorium to receive the guru.  SBT Chief General Manager Adikeshav and his team of top officials welcomed him with poornakumbha.
